Management of mango anthracnose through fungicides.

Abstract : An experiment was conducted during 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh to evaluate the efficacy of 3 non-systemic (chlorothalonil at 0.2%, mancozeb at 0.2% and propineb at 0.2%), 3 systemic (carbendazim at 0.1%, thiophanate-methyl at 0.1%, and tricyclazole at 0.1%) and 1 combination of both (carbendazim + mancozeb at 0.2%) fungicides against Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata] in mango cv. Dashehari. Foliar spray with carbendazim + mancozeb 0.2% was found significantly superior over the rest of the treatments in both years of evaluation followed by tricyclazone (0.1%).
