Abstract : Evidence was found that larvae of Eublemma scitulum (Ramb.) collected on the tree Cussonia barteri in a garden at Samaru, northern Nigeria, in May 1979 preyed on the coccid Udinia catori (Green) infesting the tree, and also attacked the epidermis and possibly underlying cork of the leaf stalks. The coccids were attended by the ant Camponotus acvapimensis Mayr. No noctuid larvae were found in association with U. catori infesting mango nearby and attended by Oecophylla longinoda (Latr.).
