Abstract : The results are given of several trials with mangoes, cv. Dashehari, on the effects of age of rootstock (6-24 months) and scion (3-12 months); thickness of stock (0.5-2.5 cm) and scion (0.5-1.5 cm); and different defoliation periods (the time between defoliation and grafting) and tying materials. The best results were obtained with 12-month-old stocks and 6-month-old scions, each 1.0 or 1.5 cm in diameter, with a 10-day defoliation period. White polyethylene tapes were the best tying materials, followed by green polyethylene.
