Abstract : A laboratory study was carried out in New Delhi, India, on the biology of Latoia lepida (Cram.), a pest of mango. The female laid 15-35 eggs in batches on the undersides of mango leaves. The newly-hatched larvae fed by scraping the undersides of leaves, but as they grew, they fed on entire leaves. Pupation occurred after 40-42 days and the pupal stage, which took place in a shell-like elliptical cocoon, lasted 20 days.
