Construction and analysis of natural population life table of Bactrocera dorsalis.

Abstract : Based on data collected from systematic survey in the field and observation in the laboratory, a natural population life table (consisting of action factors) was constructed of B. dorsalis in different hosts. The indices of population developmental trend of B. dorsalis in Zizyphus mauritiana, Averrhoa carambola, Eriobotrya japonica, Citrus reticulate, Psidium guajava and Mangifera indica were 91.5, 103.5, 120.8, 127.3, 172.2 and 183.8, respectively. The factor (predator and other) played an important role in population development of B. dorsalis, and the exclusive indices of population control of the factor (predator and other) were 2.907, 2.618, 2.591, 2.415, 2.193 and 1.866 in Z. mauritiana, A. carambola, P. guajava, M. indica, E. japonica and C. reticulate, respectively.
