Abstract : Scopelodes testacea is a new pest for many tropical fruits. It was discovered that it attacked the banana and longan in 1967, but became an important pest for many tropical fruits. It attacks the banana, longan, litchi, almond, Mangifera indica, Dracontomelon duperreanum, Syzygium samarangense, Eugenia malaccensis, and Cleidiocarpon cavaleriei. The adult body is yellow brown, with a length of 18-23 mm. The eggs are glossy yellow; the larvae are yellow green to pure green with a length of 40-46 mm. It has 2 generations a year in Guangzhou area. It mainly eats the lower leaf blade. Spraying 1000-1500x dilution solution of 80% dichlorvos could get better control.
