Abstract : Mango, cv. Guiqixiang, fruits harvested on 29 July were dipped in 3%, 5% and 7% solutions of sucrose-based polymers for 1-2 minutes and then stored at room temperature (32-36°C) with natural ventilation. After storage for 19 days, percentage decay was lower in treated fruits (48-81%) than untreated control fruits (100%). Treated fruits had a higher soluble solids content than control fruits after storage. The best concentration was 5%.
