The adaptability of Taiwan mango cultivars in Zhangzhou area and their cultural techniques.

Abstract : Mango cultivars Aiwen 96, Jinhuang, Tainong 1 and Tainong 10, introduced from Taiwan, were evaluated in the Zhangzhou area of Fujian, China. The cultivars adapted well to the local conditions, were productive and produced good quality fruits. Jinhuang fruits matured in July/August and were large, weighing 1120 g on average, with a green skin with a light purplish blush on the sunny side, a soluble solids content of 16% and an ascorbic acid content of 15.84 mg/100 g. Aiwen 96 is an early cultivar; its fruits matured at the end of June to early July and were medium-sized, weighing 463 g on average, with a bright red skin, attractive appearance and a high ascorbic acid content (44.0 mg/100 g).
