The kind of poison moth for tropical fruit crops and their control.

Abstract : The morphology of the egg, pupa, larva, adult and its attacking tropical fruits of 10 leading poison moths are described. The 34 species of the less important moths, their Latin name and damaged fruits are tabulated. The control methods of these moths are supported. The most important moths are Orgyia postica, Dasychira thwaitesi, Euproctis pseudoconspera and Porthesia scintillaans. Citrus, mango, pawpaw, litchi, longan and guava are often damaged.
