Abstract : This paper focuses on the role of potassium in some fruit crops, including mangoes, bananas, figs, pawpaws, cherimoyas, guavas and citrus, by citing some results of relevant studies on the above-mentioned fruit crops. Brief discussions are presented on the selection of index tissue in bananas for nutritional diagnosis, as well as on the efficient use of applied potassium and release from non-exchangeable form.
