Abstract : The present study was undertaken to access the residue of commonly used pesticides (cypermethrin, methamidophos, monocrotophos, cyfluthrin, Dieldrin and parathion-methyl) in three mango cultivars (Dusehri, Chaunsa, Sindhri) collected from the grower fields in Multan division, Pakistan. The samples were treated with organic solvent cyclohexane and ethyl acetate (1:1), cleaned on gel permeation chromatography and analysed on auto system gas chromatography with electron capture detector. All samples were found to be contaminated with a different degrees of pesticides residues. However, all the samples were within permissible limits being set by FAO/WHO with reference to public health.
