Abstract : The performance of 21 mango cultivars was evaluated in a field experiment conducted in Bihar, India during 1997-98. Amrapali recorded the highest panicle length (22.50 cm) and percentage of hermaphrodite flowers (24.90%), and total soluble solid (23%), total sugar (15.17%), reducing sugar (4.78%) and total carotenoid content (8.17 mg/100 g). Bombai, Zardalu and Gaurjeet matured the earliest, whereas Amrapali, Rataul, Ahra Baramasja and Bangalora matured the latest.
