Abstract : Mango is an important fruit tree of Pakistan. Its production is affected by a number of factors, in which anthracnose (caused by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides) of mango is serious one. It affects leaves, petioles, twigs, flowers and fruits. Three fungicides, viz. Shincar 50SC (carbendazim, at 100 ml/100 litres of water (LW)), Bavistin 50DF (carbendazim, 100 g/100LW), and Topas 100EC (penconazole, 50 ml/100LW) were tested on mango cv. Dosari at Sardarpur Multan, Pakistan. The control trees were sprayed with water. Bavistin 50DF showed the best results in reducing the disease incidence significantly (0.01 level) than the control, while Shincar 50%EC and Topas 100EC remained at par in controlling the disease.
