Abstract : A study was conducted at Mohanpur, West Bengal, India, to evaluate the effects of Zn, Fe and Mn, applied at 0.1 and 0.2% concentrations at the flowering, pea and flowering+pea stages, on the quality of mango cv. Himsagar fruits. All treatments recorded significantly higher fruit yield and quality over the untreated control. However, 0.2% Zn applied at flowering+pea stages recorded the highest fruit weight (262.0 g), fruit length (8.72 cm), fruit diameter (6.78 cm) and fruit yield per tree (255.0). Zn, Fe and Mn also significantly improved the total soluble solids, total sugar and titratable acidity of fruits both at harvest and during ripening, especially when applied at the higher concentration. The contents of Zn, Fe and Mn in leaves and fruits were also increased, especially in the treatment with 0.2% Zn applied at the flowering+pea stages.
