Behaviour of rootstocks of mango (Mangifera indica L.) subjected to low temperature conditions.

Abstract : In experiments conducted in São Paulo, mango varieties Sensation, Haden and Tommy Atkins were used as monoembryonic rootstocks for Hade scion, and Coquinho, Manga d'Àgua, Carabao and Pico polyembryonic rootstocks for Haden and IAC 100 Bourbon scions. The grafted seedlings at 18-24 months of age were planted out in January 1990. The results showed that rootstock Carabao survived all temperatures in both grafting combinations.
