Abstract : In a field experiment in 1995-96 in a mango orchard in Himachal Pradesh, 8 insecticides were evaluated against Amritodus atkinsoni and Idioscopus clypealis infesting mangoes cv. Dashehari. Synthetic pyrethroids cypermethrin and fenvalerate (each at 0.005%) were the most effective and produced more than 97% mortality. About 80% mortality was obtained with monocrotophos and endosulfan (each at 0.05%) and azadirachtin (0.7%).
