Abstract : Floral malformation of mango caused by Fusarium moniliforme var. subglutinans [Gibberella fujikuroi var. subglutinans] was significantly controlled using a trunk injection technique at AARI, Faisalabad and farmers's fields in Pakistan. Three systemic fungicides (Benlate [benomyl], Folicur [tebuconazole] and Topsin-M [thiophanate-methyl]) were applied by making 12-18 cm deep and 1.5 cm wide bores into selected diseased limbs properly plugged with cork stoppers. The chemicals were injected twice, the first application was made in September and the second in January. Benlate and Folicur proved highly effective, giving 72.50 and 71.10% disease reduction, respectively.
