Effect of silver nitrate on activity of malic enzyme during ripening in mango, Mangifera indica L.

Abstract : Dipping fruits of mango cv. Amrapali in 2 mM AgNO3 for 30 min in the dark reduced malic enzyme activity during subsequent ripening. This inhibition was more conspicuous when measured in vitro.
