Abstract : Fruits and foliage of 3 mango cultivars, Springfels, Ford and Tommy Atkins, grown at 2 locations, received sprays of 250 mg GA3/litre 30 days before harvest. Total soluble solid content, titratable acidity, TSS/titratable acidity, pH, skin texture, skin colour, fruit weight, length, width and thickness, pulp content, skin content, seed content and pulp/(skin + seeds) were measured after harvesting. Fruit ripening was retarded by GA3 applications, compared with untreated controls. Springfels and Ford showed inconsistent results, while Tommy Atkins had the lowest values for most of the parameters.
