Abstract : In Guangzhou prefecture, the time from fertilization to physiological maturity of mango cv. Zihuaman fruits was 100 days and accumulated temperature was about 2700°C. Fruits for storing or for long-distance transport should be harvested 85-92 days after fruit set and when accumulated temperature is about 2500°. The optimum time for harvesting was when the fruit coat was green with a little white bloom, the sarcocarp was changing from light yellow to yellow, TSS content was 6.5-7.0%, starch content was not less 6.0% and soluble sugar content was not higher than 2.5%.
