Abstract : The coreid Pseudotheraptus wayi damages mangoes in South Africa by piercing the fruits and causing necrotic spots. Such fruits cannot be exported. Damage also leads to early fruit drop in October-November when normal fruit drop of young mangoes occurs. In some cases, fruits that have developed lesions do not drop. Two egg parasitoids that attack the coreid, Anastatus sp. and a scelionid. No chemical is registered for control of P. wayi.
