Abstract : P. palmivora was isolated from infected crown and root tissues of mango showing crown and/or root rot and wilt symptoms in the Philippines. Isolate RP-17 (mating type A1) was recovered from a 2-year-old budded tree in Feb. 1989 in Tebag, Pangasinan, and isolates PG-63 (mating type AČ) and PG-64 (mating type A1) were recovered from 2 2-month-old seedlings in Nov. 1990 in Bago Oshiro, Davao. Pathogenicity of the isolates was confirmed.
