Some aspects of root systems of sweet orange, guava and mango.

Abstract : Data are presented on the root distribution pattern and concentration at different soil depths of 15-year-old sweet orange, guava and mango trees. Total root length in the topmost m of soil was greatest with sweet orange and least with mango trees. The N, P and K contents of the thin roots (up to 3 mm in diameter) were also highest in sweet orange.
