Contribution towards the studies of scale insects (Homoptera: Coccoidea: Diaspididae) of North India.

Abstract : The results of a study carried out on 8 species of Diaspididae of Uttar Pradesh, India, are presented with a complete synonymy, major references, diagnosis, hosts and distribution. A new species, Lepidosaphes shikohabadensis sp. nov., is described from mangoes, and Aulacaspis tegalensis, Parlatoria crypta and Lopholeucaspis japonica are new records for India.
