Abstract : A Japanese method for controlling diseases of tropical fruits is described. The method involves bagging the fruit and is especially recommended for mangoes. It is suggested that bagging not only controls diseases and insect pests but enhances the appearance of the fruit and minimizes pesticide residues. This paper was presented at the International Symposium on Tropical Fruit:- Frontier in Tropical Fruit Research, held in Pattaya City, Thailand, on 20-24 May 1991.
