Abstract : In response to fears of Punjab agriculture becoming totally cereals dominated, farmers are diversifying into fruit production. This paper examines the viability of different types of orchard including grape, kinnow (mandarin), mango and pear. The analysis indicates that only kinnow and grape are likely to prove viable and thus be adopted in the near future.
