Abstract : Ten-year-old trees of cv. Langra were sprayed with urea (0, 2 or 4%), KNO3 (0, 1.5 or 3%) or NAA (0 or 40 p.p.m.), alone or in combination, on 20 Feb. 1986. Of the single treatments, the 4% urea, 3% KNO3 and 40 p.p.m. NAA treatments produced the greatest number of fruits/plant, TSS, non-reducing sugars, total sugars and ascorbic acid contents and lowest acidity. With combined treatments, the greatest number of fruits/plant (61), contents of non-reducing sugars (14.15%) and ascorbic acid (68.50 mg/100 g pulp) and lowest acidity (0.267%) were obtained with 4% urea + 3% KNO3. Highest contents of TSS (20.22%), reducing sugars (4.60%) and total sugars (18.22%) were obtained with a combination of 4% urea and 40 p.p.m. NAA.
