Abstract : Napthoxyacetic acid [naphthoxyacetic acid] and gibberellic acid each at 0, 50, 100 or 150 p.p.m. were sprayed onto bearing mango cv. Langra trees. Two sprays were made prior to flowering at 15-day intervals during Feb.-Mar. 1978 and 1979. Fruits were ripened after harvesting. Fruit DM, reducing, non-reducing and total sugars, and total soluble solid contents, vitamin A and C concentrations in fruit pulp increased with increasing naphthoxyacetic acid and gibberellic acid rate applied. The sugar:acid ratio increased with increasing naphthoxyacetic acid rate, but decreased with increasing GA3 rate.
