Abstract : Fruits from 12-year-old trees of 30 mango (Mangifera indica) cultivars, taken from the Karnataka State Horticultural Department Farm collection, were evaluated in 1987 for a number of characteristics. Weight ranged from 146 g for Pautan to 1005 g for Mohanbhog, but more than 50% of the selections were between 220 and 630 g. Pulp percentage ranged from 49.5% (Kala Hapus) to 80.1% (Kalangharas). Banarasi Batti had the highest edible to non-edible ratio (3.31).
