Amino acid and sugar constituents of flowers of Mangifera indica.

Abstract : Mango flowers were studied in an investigation on indigenous plants of medicinal importance. DL-Threonine, alanine, valine, L-tryptophan and 2 unidentified amino acids were found in the flowers. Three sugars (glucose, galactose and D-arabinose) were also identified.
