Abstract : Correlation studies of 15 different characters in the cultivar Langra indicated that the number of fruits/mē could be considered the most effective parameter for predicting the yield (total number of fruits per tree), followed by yield of secondary branches (fruit number), number of fruits per panicle and number of panicles/mē. The number of secondary branches is also considered an important factor for yield forecasting.
