Abstract : Mango malformation caused by Fusarium moniliforme [Gibberella fujikuroi] was first reported in Florida in 1972. Mango malformation is not an important problem in Florida but the incidence of infection seems to be increasing slowly. Symptoms have been observed in several orchards in Dade and Palm Beach counties. Infection is most severe under unusually wet conditions. A good general programme of disease and pest control keeps mango malformation under control if it is combined with prompt removal of diseased tissues from the trees. This paper was presented at the 30th Annual Meeting of the Interamerican Society for Tropical Horticulture held in Venezuela in 1982.
