Phenological studies on various mango cultivars (Mangifera indica L.) under Jabalpur conditions.

Abstract : In studies with 9 cultivars, numerous tree characteristics were assessed including trunk circumference at the graft union, trunk length, number of primary and secondary branches, canopy volume, tree height, leaf characteristics, and yield of fruits/tree. The data are tabulated. Cultivar Langra gave the highest yield (288.7 fruits/tree), followed by Dashehari and Chausa with 205.35 and 205.14 fruits/tree, respectively. The lowest yielding cultivars were Fazli and Malda with 42.55 and 45.83 fruits/tree, respectively.
