Abstract : The effects of bottom-heat temperatures (25 or 30°C), propagation durations (28, 35 or 42 days) and wounding were studied with the cv. Dashehari. The percentage of rooting and the length of the longest root were significantly increased with 30° bottom-heat. The length of the longest root was also significantly increased by increasing the propagation duration from 28 to 35 days. Treatment with IBA at 5000 p.p.m. + wounding significantly increased the rooting percentage, number of roots and length of the longest root compared with IBA at 5000 p.p.m. with no wounding.
