Abstract : A Fusarium sp. was isolated from infected tissue. Inoculation of mango seedlings showed that the disease is neither systemic nor completely localized but behaves erratically. Internal spread is always acropetal and is supposed to be facilitated through active cell-division of terminal growth under environmental conditions favourable to both host and pathogen.
