Abstract : World and Brazilian fruit production are compared. Brazilian cultural practices and production of banana (cultivars Santa Catarina Anã, Prata and Branca), guava, passion fruit (Passiflora edulis and P. edulis f. flavicarpa), pawpaw and mango are reviewed and discussed in relation to research.
