Abstract : A detailed account is given, based on laboratory rearing, of the morphology, biology and injuriousness of Procontarinia mangifoliae (Grover), an important pest of mango in India. The cecidomyiid galls the leaves and is especially injurious in nurseries; when infestation is heavy, all the new flush is galled and the growth of the plants is stunted.
