Abstract : In field tests in 1979-80 with 8 insecticides in Uttar Pradesh, India, for the control of Erosomyia mangiferae Felt (indica Grover & Prasad) on mango flowers, fenitrothion at 0.05% and dimethoate at 0.045% (applied 3 times at fortnightly intervals) gave consistently better results than the other products, while monocrotophos and phosphamidon gave erratic results. The sprays were most effective if begun at the time of panicle emergence.
