Effect of different plant growth regulators and other chemicals on flowering behaviour of mango.

Abstract : In trials with the cv. Dashehari, during several on and off years, numerous treatments were applied to induce regular bearing. Although none of the treatments gave marked improvement, ethephon at 200 p.p.m. + 0.1% urea in one trial or at 400 p.p.m. + 1% urea in another trial, applied 5 times at 30-day (first trial) or 15-day intervals (second trial), gave the best results by inducing bearing in the off years.
