Clonal propagation of mango rootstocks by stooling.

Abstract : Twenty cultivars were assessed for the production of stool shoots/plant, rooting and survival percentages. The data are tabulated. Kalapady and ST9 had the highest number of stool shoots/plant (4-4.5). Rooting was highest in Rumani (100%), ST9 (96.4%) and Nakkare (94.1%), and plant survival in Rumani (100%) and Terpentine (100%). Plant survival in ST9 and Nakkare was 85.2 and 87.5%, respectively.
