Abstract : In studies related to irregular bearing, changes in the levels of carbohydrates (C), the C/N ratio, and Ca, Mg and K contents were determined before, during and after fruit bud differentiation in 25-year-old mango trees. The data are tabulated. At all stages the level of insoluble C was appreciably higher than that of soluble C. The levels of insoluble C and non-reducing sugars declined during bud differentiation whereas the level of reducing sugars increased. Ca rose markedly during differentiation whereas Mg and K declined slightly.
