Abstract : This investigation was carried out aiming at the confection the minimum efficient descriptors by determining the similarity genetic to access de manga fruit by the methods of grouping of Ward. Twenty access to selected manga fruit were used. Sixty-four descriptors morphoagronomic were evaluated related to characteristics of the plant, leaves, flowers/inflorescence, fruits, lumps/seeds. Clustering method by hierarchial method of Ward were employed. These results confirm the importance of the clustering method used in identifying access, showing be efficient for future on the study of genetic diversity and genetic resource management of manga fruit. It was also shown that only the use of fruit characteristics is possible to obtain an efficient discrimination of the different access. The 20 genotypes evaluated hose were grouped into two distinct groups according to the multivariate analysis technique based on the Ward clustering. The use of only 35 fruits descriptors is equivalent to the morphological descriptors of the hose 64, for these genotypes.
