Abstract : Field tests were carried out in Delhi, India, to compare the effectiveness of sprays containing 0.1% diazinon, monocrotophos and chlorpyrifos against the mango pest Drosicha mangiferae (Green). On the basis of actual mortality counts and the reduction in population after treatment, it was found that diazinon was the most effective compound and was significantly superior to monocrotophos and chlorpyrifos, both of which, however, gave fairly satisfactory control of the pest.
