Mandhvendra Deo Singh, is a mango orchardist belongs to Village Mall, District Lucknow, (Uttar Pradesh). Mandhvendra Deo Singh, is an owner of mango orchard of an area of approximate 80 bigha. Average age of his orchard is about 100 years. 20 commercial and 60 non-commercial varieties have been planted by Mandhvendra Deo Singh in his orchard for different purposes. The total commercial varieties in his orchard are 20 out of which Dashehari, Langra, Chausa, Lucknow Safeda, Ramkela, Mallika, Khasulkhas, Husnara and Gulab Khas are the important varieties. Besides these commercial varieties, 60 non-commercial varieties have also been sustaining in his orchard. Because of its old orchard in mango growing area, love for mango trees, self interest, collection of new varieties and maintenace of available varieties in orchard and to increase his source of income, he collected different mango varieties from self multiplication. He is also serving society by sharing all his varieties to the surrounding areas. He requires multiplication of available rare varieties, marketing of rare varieties, management of insect and disease and to aware people about different important varieties to conserve his green wealth and ultimately to maintain & enhance his source of income.

Mango Varieties of Mandhvendra Deo Singh

As per the perception of Mandhvendra Deo Singh, The quality of fruits has been found excellent in Dashehari. Time of ripening is also medium. In raw stage, it tastes sour.
